Peace agreements were difficult but as years passed by eventually the UN and other agencies managed to create one that all areas and forces agreed too.
–The United Nations worked together with the government to create a program called the ‘Truth and Reconciliation Commission’ Which the task was to heal people and areas that were war affected. The Un government and Unamsil worked together to heal the scars of war. Working together with the Unamsil, United Nations helped people provide jobs for thousands of unemployed people, youths, ex war fighters, and provide basic services to communities. Together both the UN and Unamsil troops rebuilt schools and clinics. They launched funded agricultural projects, and sponsored free medical clinics in widespread areas.
